Mrs. Calderón–Founder

I have dedicated my whole life to Education, I have fun and feel accomplished daily. That is why I love to say that “I am an Educator at Heart, because Education is my passion.”

In 1981 I graduated from the University of Costa Rica with a Bachelor of Science in Education with an Emphasis on Preschool. In 1986, the Bachelor of Science in Education, Cycles I and II, and the Graduation Thesis was a “Proposal for a model program to Stimulate Talent and Creativity in First Grade children”. In 1997 I finished my Master’s Degree in Educational Sciences with an emphasis on Educational Administration, and my thesis was about a “Training Proposal directed to directors and area coordinators of private, bilingual, I and II cycle institutions in circuit 09 of the Educational Region of San José 1 “. In 2005 I finished my Doctorate in Education, with the thesis “Curricular Induction Management made by the Director of the 2nd cycle of Private Primary Education, of the Regional Directorate of San José”. This time I graduated Summa Cum Laude, with an average of 96%.

Other training processes are, at the Incca University of Colombia (2008) Quality Management in Education and implementation of the ISO 9001: 200 Standard. Also, with GLENN DOMAN, The Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential (2011) Child Brain Development.

From 1981 to 1988 I had the opportunity to teach university classes in education careers, both at the University of Costa Rica and at other private universities in the country.

At the age of 24, in 1984, I began the most exciting and challenging adventure of my professional life, which was to form Saint Gregory School.

I am currently a member of the Board of Directors, and I enjoy supervising the quality control of the educational process, with the great responsibility that Saint Gregory maintains its high educational standards, honoring our slogan “The Best Heritage”.

Rafael Calderón is my husband, with a degree in Business Administration, and together we have two wonderful children, Andrea Calderón, Master in Education, entrepreneur in Super Babies and Baby Spa, and Esteban Calderón, Master in Business, Sound Engineer and Music Production, he lives and works in the United States since 2012. Rodolfo is my grandson, who is a student at Saint Gregory School.

I am a happy woman, with a beautiful family, professionally fulfilled, and I live every day with the support and permanent blessing of God.
